Is this a group tour?

This is a group tour. Travelers from separate bookings on the same departure may share sightseeing and the agency-assigned Egyptologist guide.

Are entrance tickets included, and how much should I budget?

Entrance tickets are not included in the tour price. Budget approximately €120 per person for the scheduled visits across the tour; actual ticket costs may vary. This is an estimate, not a fee charged by Meluna Voyages.

What trains are included, and can I upgrade?

The standard itinerary uses overnight seated trains (reserved seats, not sleeper cabins) between Cairo and Aswan and between Luxor and Cairo. A sleeper-train upgrade is $105 per person per direction ($210 per person for both directions), and domestic-flight upgrades are available on request.

Which accommodation is used?

In Cairo: King Pyramids View, an apartment-style property, or a similar property. On the Nile: the Liberty Nile Cruise or a similar five-star ship. We don't guarantee a particular property, ship or room view.

Which excursions are optional?

The Abu Simbel temples ($130 per person), a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over Luxor's West Bank ($100 per person) and a boat trip to a Nubian Village ($50 per person). All are subject to arrangements and the cruise sailing schedule.

Can you arrange an early-hours airport pickup?

Yes — airport pickup is available around the clock. Note that standard hotel check-in is 2 p.m.; for immediate room access on an early-hours arrival, an extra night before the tour needs to be arranged.

What time can I depart from Cairo on Day 7?

For the standard return-by-train itinerary, book your departure flight from Cairo no earlier than 1 p.m., and confirm your flight details with us before booking.

Can the itinerary order change?

The itinerary follows the Nile cruise sailing schedule, and the order and timing of visits may change — while ensuring all included visits are completed.
