Terms and Conditions

About Meluna Voyages
Meluna Voyages is a trading name operated by Golden for Tourism Marketing, based in Giza, Egypt.
We organize and arrange multi-day tours, accommodation, cruises, transportation, guided sightseeing, domestic flights, optional experiences and other travel-related services described in each published itinerary or booking confirmation.
By making a booking with Meluna Voyages, paying a deposit or authorizing another person to book on your behalf, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
The person making a booking on behalf of other travelers is responsible for sharing these terms with every member of the booking.
Bookings
Bookings must be made through an authorized Meluna Voyages sales channel, including the Meluna Voyages website, directly through our team, or through an authorized third-party booking platform.
A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit or payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
Travelers must review their booking confirmation carefully and notify us promptly if any information is incorrect.
Bookings made through a third-party booking platform may also be subject to that platform's own booking, payment and platform conditions.
Deposit and Payment
The required deposit will be displayed during booking or stated in your written quotation. The amount may vary depending on the tour, departure date and services selected.
For bookings made directly with Meluna Voyages, a deposit of 20% of the total tour price is required to confirm your booking. The deposit is paid online through a secure payment link that we send you. The remaining balance can be paid in cash on arrival in Egypt. If you prefer to pay the full amount online, a 5% online payment fee applies.
Unless the balance is to be paid in cash on arrival as agreed, the remaining balance must be paid by the deadline shown on the booking page, invoice or booking confirmation.
Bookings made close to departure may require immediate full payment.
Failure to make payment by the stated deadline may be treated as a cancellation by the traveler. Applicable cancellation charges and non-refundable supplier costs may then apply.
Payments must be made through the authorized payment method stated during booking. Travelers are responsible for bank charges, currency-conversion fees or payment-processing costs imposed by their bank or payment provider.
Tour Price
The confirmed price includes only the accommodation, meals, transportation, guided services, activities and other arrangements specifically listed as included in the selected itinerary.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the price does not include:
- International flights
- Entry visas
- Travel insurance
- Entrance tickets
- Optional excursions
- Tips and gratuities
- Meals and drinks not listed as included
- Personal expenses
- Laundry and telephone charges
- Pre-tour or post-tour accommodation
- Single-room supplements
- Services requested after confirmation
Prices are based on the information and supplier costs available when the tour is published or quoted. Any approved additions or changes requested by the traveler may result in an additional charge.
Traveler Cancellations
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
Cancellation requests for bookings made directly with Meluna Voyages must be emailed to eyad@melunavoyages.com.
For bookings made through a third-party booking platform, cancellations should be submitted through that platform so the request is formally recorded against the reservation.
The effective cancellation date is the date on which the written request is received through the appropriate channel.
The following cancellation charges apply:
More than 40 days before the tour begins: Six percent of the deposit paid will be retained as a bank and transaction fee. The remaining eligible amount will be refunded.
From 40 to 30 days before the tour begins: Twenty-five percent of the total tour price will be charged.
From 29 to 15 days before the tour begins: Fifty percent of the total tour price will be charged.
From 14 to 8 days before the tour begins: Seventy-five percent of the total tour price will be charged.
From 7 to 1 days before the tour begins: One hundred percent of the total tour price will be charged.
On the scheduled starting date or in the event of a no-show: One hundred percent of the total tour price will be charged, and no refund will be available.
If recoverable supplier charges exceed the standard cancellation charge, any additional non-refundable amount will be clearly explained where permitted by the booking conditions.
Domestic Flights and Other Ticketed Services
Domestic flights, sleeper trains and certain ticketed services are subject to the conditions of the airline or other supplier.
If a booking is cancelled or changed after one of these services has been reserved, the traveler will be responsible for the supplier's cancellation or amendment fees. These fees may apply in addition to the standard tour cancellation charges.
Some domestic airfares may become non-refundable immediately after ticketing.
Passenger names must match the traveler's passport exactly. Costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the traveler will be the traveler's responsibility.
Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the same account and payment method used for the original transaction.
Refunds are subject to the applicable cancellation policy, supplier charges, bank fees and any non-refundable services already purchased.
Processing times may vary depending on the bank, payment provider or booking platform involved.
No refund will be provided for a no-show or for services voluntarily missed, declined or unused after the tour has started.
Leaving a tour early does not automatically entitle the traveler to a refund.
Changes Requested by the Traveler
Requests to change travel dates, accommodation, room arrangements, flights, names, services or itinerary details must be submitted in writing.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist, but changes remain subject to availability and supplier approval.
Any additional supplier costs, fare differences, cancellation charges or administration expenses resulting from the requested change will be payable by the traveler.
A requested change is not confirmed until Meluna Voyages provides written confirmation.
Changes Made by Meluna Voyages
We aim to operate every tour according to its published itinerary. However, it may be necessary to adjust the order, timing, route, accommodation, cruise vessel, transportation or included visits because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These circumstances may include weather, Nile cruise schedules, navigation conditions, transportation delays, local holidays, site closures, supplier changes, safety concerns or government requirements.
The itinerary may be rearranged according to the Nile cruise sailing schedule while ensuring that all included visits are completed whenever reasonably possible.
If a named hotel, cruise vessel or other service becomes unavailable, we may provide a suitable alternative of a similar standard.
If we must make a significant change before departure, we will notify affected travelers as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options.
When no suitable alternative can be provided, any refund or credit will be determined according to the affected service, recoverable supplier payments and applicable law.
Cancellation by Meluna Voyages
Meluna Voyages may cancel a departure if it cannot be operated safely or reasonably due to insufficient participation, supplier failure, government restrictions, force majeure or another serious operational circumstance.
When we cancel for reasons within our reasonable control, we may offer an alternative departure, a comparable replacement service, travel credit or a refund of the recoverable amount paid for the affected service.
We are not responsible for expenses booked independently by the traveler, including international flights, visas, additional accommodation or other personal arrangements. Travelers should purchase suitable insurance covering cancellation and disruption.
Force Majeure
Meluna Voyages is not responsible for cancellations, delays, changes or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flooding, epidemics, pandemics, war, terrorism, political unrest, civil disturbance, labor disputes, border closures, government action, changes in law, transport disruption, quarantine, mechanical breakdown, navigation restrictions or the failure of an independent supplier.
If any such disruption occurs while Egypt and the other destinations included in the itinerary remain officially open, operational and able to receive tourists, the booking will remain active. The standard Terms and Conditions and cancellation charges accepted at the time of booking will continue to apply.
Travel warnings, personal concerns, international events, airline schedule changes or disruptions occurring outside the destination do not automatically cancel the booking or provide an entitlement to a full refund while the booked tour can still be operated safely and as scheduled.
The standard cancellation policy will remain applicable unless the Egyptian Government, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the relevant civil aviation authority or the corresponding official authority of another included destination formally announces a closure that directly prevents the tour from operating. This may include closing the destination to tourists, suspending tourism activities, closing the relevant airspace or preventing international visitors from entering.
If an official closure directly prevents Meluna Voyages from operating the confirmed tour, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the affected services, offer a suitable alternative or provide travel credit where possible. Any refund will be limited to amounts that can be recovered from hotels, cruise operators, airlines and other suppliers after deducting non-refundable costs already paid.
Without an official closure or restriction that prevents the confirmed services from operating, any cancellation requested by the traveler will be treated as a standard traveler cancellation. The cancellation fees shown in these Terms and Conditions will apply as agreed at the time of booking.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in the tour price.
All travelers are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive insurance immediately after booking. Coverage should include medical treatment, emergency evacuation, cancellation, travel disruption, baggage loss and personal liability.
Travelers are responsible for checking that their chosen policy provides appropriate coverage for their destination, activities, age and medical circumstances.
Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that their passport remains valid and that they satisfy all visa, vaccination, health and entry requirements for Egypt and every destination included in their booking.
Any visa guidance provided by Meluna Voyages is general information and may change. Final requirements should be confirmed with the appropriate embassy, consulate or government authority before travel.
Meluna Voyages is not responsible if a traveler is refused entry, boarding or participation because of missing, incorrect or invalid documents.
Traveler Information and Responsibilities
Travelers must provide complete and accurate names, passport information, contact details and other information required to arrange the booking.
Travelers must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by Meluna Voyages, tour guides, drivers, cruise staff, suppliers and local authorities.
Travelers are responsible for arriving at meeting points and departure locations at the instructed time.
A traveler may be removed from a tour if their conduct creates a serious risk to themselves or others, causes significant disruption, damages property or involves abusive, threatening or unlawful behavior. No refund will be available for unused services in these circumstances.
Health, Mobility and Dietary Requirements
Travelers must inform us before confirmation of any medical condition, reduced mobility, allergy, dietary requirement or other circumstance that may affect their participation.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed requirements, but some services and destinations may have limited accessibility.
Special meals, accessibility arrangements and medical support cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Travelers are responsible for carrying any required medication and obtaining appropriate medical advice before departure.
Accommodation
Unless otherwise stated, published prices are based on two travelers sharing a twin or double room.
Solo travelers and travelers requesting private accommodation must pay the applicable single-room supplement.
Named hotels, cruise vessels and lodges are provided as an indication of the expected standard. A property or vessel of a similar standard may be substituted when operationally necessary.
Room type, bed configuration, connecting rooms, views and other preferences are subject to availability unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
Standard check-in and check-out times are determined by each accommodation provider. Early check-in and late check-out are not guaranteed unless separately arranged and confirmed.
Domestic Flight Schedules
Domestic flight times shown in an itinerary or quotation are approximate until tickets have been issued.
Airlines may change flight times, flight numbers, routes or baggage allowances. Such decisions are controlled by the airline.
Requests for particular flight times or changes after ticketing may result in fare differences and amendment fees.
Optional Experiences
Optional excursions and upgrades are not included unless they are specifically selected, paid for and confirmed.
Optional experiences remain subject to availability, operational conditions and minimum participation requirements where applicable.
Hot-air balloon flights are subject to weather conditions and approval from the relevant aviation authorities.
If an optional experience is cancelled by its operator and cannot be rescheduled, the amount paid for that experience will be refunded according to the supplier's applicable policy.
Special Requests
Special requests must be provided at the time of booking.
Meluna Voyages and its suppliers will make reasonable efforts to assist, but a request is not guaranteed unless it has been expressly confirmed in writing.
Mentioning a request on an invoice, message or booking record does not necessarily guarantee its fulfillment.
A booking cannot be made conditional upon an unconfirmed special request.
Children Policy
Packages, Nile cruises and hotels:
- Children under 2 years old: Free of charge.
- Children aged 2 to under 12 years: Fifty percent of the applicable individual tour price.
- Travelers aged 12 years and older are charged as adults.
Child prices may be slightly higher than 50% when a booking includes domestic flights, ferries, hot-air balloon flights, sleeper trains or other services governed by separate supplier rules.
Child rates are subject to the room-sharing arrangements and policies of the relevant hotel, cruise company, airline or service provider.
Tipping
Tips are not included unless expressly stated.
Tipping is customary in Egypt and is a way of showing appreciation for good service. However, travelers may tip according to their satisfaction and are not obligated to provide additional voluntary gratuities unless a mandatory tipping arrangement was disclosed before booking.
Independent Suppliers and Responsibility
Meluna Voyages works with independent hotels, cruise companies, airlines, railway operators, transport providers, restaurants, guides and activity operators.
We carefully select our suppliers but do not directly control every aspect of their operations.
To the extent permitted by law, Meluna Voyages is not responsible for loss, delay, injury, damage or disruption caused solely by an independent supplier or by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This may include names, contact details, passport information, nationality, travel arrangements, payment information, dietary requirements and relevant health or accessibility information.

Complaints and Assistance
If a problem occurs during the tour, travelers must notify their guide, local representative or Meluna Voyages support team as soon as possible. Prompt notification gives us an opportunity to investigate and provide assistance.
If the matter is not resolved during the trip, the traveler should submit a written complaint to eyad@melunavoyages.com with the booking number, relevant details and supporting documents.
We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
Acceptance of These Terms
Payment of a deposit, partial payment or full payment confirms that the traveler has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
These terms, together with the published itinerary, booking confirmation, invoice and any written amendments, form the agreement between the traveler and Meluna Voyages.
If one provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
